"The Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally founded Marian College Kuttikkanam through its NGO- Peermade Development Society - in 1995 to provide the student community with quality education in Information Technology, Commerce, Social Work and Management. We impart information with the intention of proper character formation of the students, eventually achieving their holistic transformation. The College has its motto: information, formation and transformation. Marian falls under session 2 (f) & 12 (B) of UGC Act 1956. The college won the prestigious status of College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) from UGC in 2010 and 2014. At present the college is reaccredited the college in the third cycle by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (an autonomous national body under UGC) with A grade and 3.52 CGPA out of 4. The College is shortlisted by Government of Kerala to be given autonomous status in the next academic (2016-17) year. "
